Eikando Zenrin-ji Temple is a top maple-viewing spot in Kyoto and is now at its best. The solemn ancient temple and bluish-gray bridges, set against 3,000 maple trees, are reflected beautifully in the pond, creating a picturesque scene that enchants visitors strolling along the tree-lined paths, quickly filling up their camera memory. With the arrival of the foliage season, many travelers also don vibrant kimonos to walk along the paths, looking like elegant ladies straight out of a painting, creating their own autumn memories. The temple even designates a resting area where visitors can enjoy dango (sweet rice dumplings) and matcha while taking in the surrounding red leaves.
