“Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice Noodles” received a Michelin one-star recommendation in October 2016, becoming the world’s first hawker-style dish to earn the prestigious star. Owner Chan Hon Meng is actively expanding his presence. Partnering with He Yi Catering Group and targeting the foot traffic and international tourists at Taipei Main Station, the pricing in Taiwan will be around 100 Taiwanese dollars—affordable for most consumers. Enjoying Michelin-level cuisine at budget prices, the opening is expected to spark a wave of long queues.
