On Monday, temperatures generally rise, with southern counties/cities and Taitung reaching up to 27°C. The east sees more rain, and there's a chance of showers in the mountainous northern areas. Starting Tuesday, the northeast monsoon strengthens, and temperatures drop again, with the northern half staying between 15–20°C and experiencing three to four consecutive days of unstable weather with occasional showers. Stay warm at night and carry rain gear. After Tuesday, temperatures in central and southern Taiwan remain relatively high, between 18–25°C, with Pingtung County in the far south even reaching up to 30°C at times. Southern counties/cities also enter a phase of unstable weather with sunny intervals and occasional showers—carry rain gear when going out.
Over the weekend, due to the southward movement of a cold air mass from mainland China and the eastward shift of the cloud-rain zone from South China, northern areas north of Miaoli will experience rainy weather, as will eastern regions including Yilan, Hualien, Taitung, Lienchiang County, and Penghu County. Temperatures will be around 15–20°C, so pay attention to keeping warm in the morning and evening. A windproof jacket or scarf may come in handy. The weather systems this week change rapidly, so stay alert for any shifts. It’s a good idea to have cold and rain protection gear ready in advance.
