Affected by the northeastern monsoon, the northern and northeastern regions will be cooler. On the morning of the 24th, a rain cloud mass from southern China will move eastward, bringing localized brief showers across the country. From the afternoon, as the rain cloud mass moves away, localized brief showers will still occur in the eastern half of the country and mountainous areas in the western half, while other regions will be mostly cloudy. By the 26th, as a frontal system passes and the northeastern monsoon strengthens again, the weather in the north and northeastern regions will turn cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 19–21°C on the 27th. The western half and northeastern regions may experience showers or thunderstorms, with a chance of heavier rainfall in some areas. On Friday, there will be brief showers in the eastern and western mountainous areas, while the risk of rain is lower on Saturday and Sunday, with only the eastern, southeastern regions, and mountainous areas in the western half seeing localized brief showers. Temperatures will also rebound somewhat.

A tropical depression has formed near the Philippines and may develop into the first typhoon of 2017 (to be named Muifa). Whether it forms into a typhoon will be determined by the 26th, but it is not expected to have much impact on Taiwan. However, due to the influence of a frontal system moving south on the 26th, rainfall will be more significant, so remember to bring rain gear when going out.
