Giant hot air balloons soar into the sky, magnificent and colorful, floating dreamily and beautifully in the air while showcasing the beauty of the valley. The annual Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival will kick off on June 30th in 2017 and continue until August 6 at Taitung Luye Highland. Every year, the highlight of the festival is the hot air balloon light show. The schedule for 2017 has recently been announced. Unlike previous years when it opened at Luye Highland, this year’s first show will be held at 8 PM on June 30th at Taitung County Stadium.

As in previous years, this year’s hot air balloon light shows will be held six times, with displays set against the backdrops of Sanciandao, Dapochi, and Taimali, among other locations, delivering stunning visual spectacles. To offer visitors a new experience, this year’s balloons will feature various themed light shows, along with added interactive games and diverse programs to create more memorable moments for balloon enthusiasts this summer.
