Taiwan’s renowned Brown Highway in Taitung, with its boundless fields and avenues, has a forked road that winds through rice paddies and is called Heaven's Road. However, similarly breathtaking scenery can also be found in Yuli Township, Hualien.

Along Hualien’s most beautiful Provincial Highway 193, a winding, endless farm road is hidden within vast rice fields. This lesser-known hidden paradise road, though just an ordinary agricultural path, has become a popular photography spot against the backdrop of its boundless green sea of rice.

The Yuli Version of Heaven's Road is relatively unknown. Though just an ordinary agricultural path, it has become a popular photography spot against the backdrop of its boundless green sea of rice.
The Yuli Version of Heaven's Road can easily be missed if you’re not paying close attention. It is located on the right side of Provincial Highway 193 when traveling from Ruisui Township toward Lehe, and is also diagonally opposite the Songpu Branch of the Yuxi Area Farmers’ Credit Cooperative. The small road is only wide enough for one vehicle, and visitors are reminded to enjoy the view without disturbing or damaging the surrounding rice paddies, in respect of the farmers’ hard work.
