We arrived at West Bay to check out Kaohsiung’s famous West Bay attractions. The hubby was busy taking photos while Mei Zi enjoyed the scenery. The daytime has its own vibe, and the West Bay at sunset offers a different kind of beauty. The sunset at West Bay is one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Kaohsiung. With fishing boats coming and going, their lights mingling with the glow of the sunset, it creates a truly unique view. Let’s keep following the hubby’s lens and move on.
A friend said: When you come to West Bay, you must walk up to the British Consulate. There are quite a lot of stairs, but for this beautiful view, Mei Zi climbed up with effort~
Finally, we made it up— a little tired, but totally worth it. We finally got to see the British Consulate in all its glory. Let’s go explore and take some photos Up !
Here’s some info about the British Consulate – it’s one of the oldest existing Western-style buildings in Taiwan. The Takao British Consulate and official residence have the longest history. Many visitors to West Bay also come up here for a stroll, and it’s also considered a historic site.

There were so many kids playing here that day, while adults were taking photos and sightseeing. What about our dear hubby?
He discovered that taking photos of West Bay from the top of the British Consulate is absolutely gorgeous!!
