Recently, a new highlight has emerged in Tainan — the newly opened Planet Cuisine, located right across from the Tainan City Government. It’s Taiwan’s first vegetarian planetarium restaurant. Since the owner is an astronomy enthusiast, the venue features an ultra-large astronomical projection system that allows consumers to dine while enjoying the Milky Way and starry skies, creating a fully romantic atmosphere that has sparked curiosity among many visitors eager to see this unique dining concept.

Planet Cuisine offers three stargazing sessions per day, with day and night scenes alternating every 15 minutes. One of its biggest highlights is the astronomical observation dome — the largest private facility and the fourth largest in Taiwan, with a diameter of 10 meters. Other observation domes of this scale are all national-level venues, including the Taipei Astronomical Museum, Taichung National Museum of Natural Science, and Nanying Astronomical Observatory. The restaurant serves only vegetarian meals.
