Taiwan’s Longest Roller Slide: A Hidden Kids’ Playground in a Tainan Temple

Mei Zi is sharing a list I’ve kept in my pocket for nearly half a year. This time, coming down south again, I just had to check it out. When we arrived here, there were play facilities, a barbecue area, and vendors around Jiafu Temple, and of course, you can also take a stroll, enjoy the beautiful flowers and scenery. Come on—cutting out the fluff and letting you all join us for some fun, Up here it is right now!!

Huh? Couldn’t find what I wanted to play on. Mei Zi, not giving up, asked a vendor. Finally got an answer, and following the vendor’s directions, we found the roller slide. The temple even provides boards with usage instructions. With this thick board, no worries about burning or hurting your butt—you can slide to your heart’s content.

Just like in the photo, Mei Zi is sitting on the board, hold on tight, ready to have a blast. Mei Zi and her husband took turns playing, having an absolute riot, they didn’t even want to move on to the next attraction.

Near Jiafu Temple, there’s also a children’s playground—not small in size—with really fun play equipment.

When we walked here, we were charmed by these adorable little Shaolin monks, each in a different pose—so cute, we couldn’t help but snap a few extra photos to share with everyone.

You could easily spend one or two hours here. Both adults and kids will be totally drawn in by the roller slide. There’s also a barbecue area nearby—if you love grilling, this place is great for you too. We had such a great time today, the fun even brightened our mood. Came back to share it all with you all.
