Yang Jing-tang, spokesperson for the Universiade, stated that tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the competitions will all go on sale at 12 noon on June 13. Those wishing to attend can purchase them through the official Universiade ticketing website or at three major convenience store ticketing kiosks (7-ELEVEN ibon, FamilyMart Life-ET, and OK Mart OK 'Go).
As for the ticket prices, which are of greatest concern to the public, opening ceremony tickets range from NT$800 to NT$3,500, while closing ceremony tickets range from NT$500 to NT$2,000. Tickets priced at NT$800 for the opening and NT$500 for the closing make up about 80% of the total, with the hope that everyone can enjoy the world-class performances. Competition tickets are priced at NT$200 and NT$300, sold as single-day passes. With one ticket, the public can watch all the matches of a particular event at a single venue throughout the day. The organizers encourage everyone to come and cheer on the talented athletes representing 150 countries.
