MUJI, famous for its minimalist style, is beloved by consumers around the globe, and now it has even more ambitious plans underway. The Tokyo Main Office of Yomiuri Shimbun and Mitsui Fudosan have announced that in spring 2019, they will open a new commercial complex in Ginza 3-chome, which will feature the world’s largest MUJI flagship store as well as the world’s first “MUJI HOTEL.” The hotel will furnish all rooms and common areas with MUJI products.

This development project, dubbed the “MARRONNIER X Namiki Yomiuri Ginza Plan,” will be located on Namiki-dori, diagonally opposite the MARRONNIER GATE 2 shopping mall. The building will span from three underground floors up to ten above-ground floors, covering a total floor area of 14,219 square meters. It will be a mixed-use commercial complex combining a hotel and a shopping mall.
Floors B1 to part of the 6th floor will house the MUJI Global Flagship Store, while part of the 6th floor up to the 10th floor will be the “MUJI HOTEL.”

Part of the 6th floor through to the 10th floor will be the “MUJI HOTEL,” for which MUJI is responsible for conceptualizing the hotel's overall theme and overseeing the interior design.
