Taichung’s recent popular new landmark, the “Liuchuan” Blue Ribbon Waterfront, has transformed what was once a heavily polluted and foul-smelling drainage ditch into a new hotspot in the city. In addition to the Liuchuan waterfront, located within the Taichung 13th Redevelopment Zone in the South District on Xichuan Second Road, the city government is also transforming this area as a second goal similar to Liuchuan—creating a beautiful and captivating ecological landscape channel. The Xichuan Second Road channel is approximately 437 meters long and 40 meters wide. To promote environmental sustainability, drawing reference from the Liuchuan model, an upgrade project for a high-quality landscape waterway and riverside space has been carried out. Once completed, in addition to enjoying the lush green ecological riverbank, visitors can also admire a scenic bridge designed with shapes resembling butterfly wings and a heart. Recently, it has attracted numerous tourists for photography, and many believe it can rival the Liuchuan riverside.
