The Golden Needle Flower Season at Sixty Stone Mountain Has Begun – Vast Fields of Golden Blooms in Full Splendor

Every summer brings the season of the golden, magnificent golden needle flower seas. The annual Hualien Golden Needle Flower Festival takes place from August 5 to September 24, with both Yuli’s Chike Mountain and Fuli’s Sixty Stone Mountain blooming passionately in the summer heat. This year, the golden needle flower sea spans an impressive 63.15 hectares. In addition to launching a nature and ecology tour that allows daytime flower viewing and nighttime stargazing for the first time, there will also be a limited-time offering of “Flower Spike Rice” available for purchase during the festival period. Currently, the flowering progress is around 10–20%.

Yuli’s Chike Mountain and Fuli’s Sixty Stone Mountain are Taiwan’s two premier high-mountain golden needle flower production areas. Spanning 50 days, the Sixty Stone Mountain Golden Needle Flower Festival not only allows visitors to ascend to vantage points to admire the breathtaking sea of flowers across the mountains, but also hosts a golden needle flower photography competition so more people can enjoy the beauty of these expansive blooms.

※ One-way traffic will be in effect during the Sixty Stone Mountain festival period
Cars: Enter via Zhutian Village at the 308.5 km mark on Highway 9, and exit towards Dongli Village in the direction of Amei Creek from Sixty Stone Mountain
Motorcycles: Enter via Zhutian Village at the 308.5 km mark on Highway 9, and exit the same way
