New IG hotspot: The colorful and eye-catching Tire Park

The villagers and village chief of Fubao in Changhua have continuously worked on renovating and improving their village. After previously repainting and decorating the old walls, turning the area into a vibrant mural village that sparked widespread discussion, the village chief of Fubao has now once again called on the villagers for help. They have repurposed old, discarded tires, transforming them into a colorful, painted tire park. Not only is it great for photos and environmentally friendly, but its giant doughnut-like appearance has also made it a new IG hotspot.

In July this year, Fubao Village gathered unused large tractor tires from local dairy farmers, refurbished and painted them, and arranged them on land generously provided by Tai Ming. This created the “Colorful Tire Park,” which uses tires as its main decorative element. Every piece of decoration in the park is made from tires, giving it a distinct local flavor and making it a new attraction.

The disposal of discarded tires is a major challenge for environmental protection. Through a community development initiative, Fubao Village enlisted the help of university students to paint the old tires in bright colors, even stacking them into tire mountains for children to play on. They also designed the tires into installation art, adding a unique touch to the community.

Fubao Village has long been committed to beautifying and rebuilding the village. Starting in 2015, it began using paintings to add new vibrancy to the area. After years of effort and transformation, Fubao Village in Changhua has become a popular photogenic destination for visitors to the region.
