Step into the clouds！ Kaohsiung’s first Gangshan Sky Eye Skywalk to open by year-end

Kaohsiung is about to welcome a new attraction！ The “Gangshan Sky Eye” area, a new tourism landmark in Gangshan District, features a music-themed skywalk — the first of its kind in the Kaohsiung region. A topping-out ceremony for the main tower was held on the 14th, symbolizing the completion of the most important structural element of the Gangshan Sky Eye area. The skywalk is 88 meters long and 40 meters high, with a 12-meter glass surface on the bridge — a truly spectacular sight. The project is expected to be completed in October, and the entire park will open to the public before the end of the year.

The walkway is built using an eccentric suspension design, with the steel structure suspended high above the ground. As visitors stroll along the skywalk, they can enjoy the sensation of walking amidst the clouds. Not only can they overlook dozens of hectares of the Agongdian Reservoir, but they can also gaze far across Kaohsiung, with even the 30-kilometer-distant Kaohsiung Harbor and the iconic 85 Sky Tower fully visible.

The Gangshan Sky Eye skywalk is designed with a music theme. The main tower is connected to the skywalk by 24 suspension cables that symbolize piano strings, resembling the playing of a vibrant life chapter unique to Little Gangshan. As visitors walk along the skywalk, they can experience the feeling of strolling through the clouds. In the future, in addition to enjoying the scenery, the Gangshan Sky Eye area will also feature rest areas and recreational zones, making it Kaohsiung’s newest premier tourist destination.
