All known Taiwanese tour groups and travelers in Las Vegas are safe, but there have been reports of some individuals going missing. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lee Hsien-chang stated that the San Francisco office has not received any reports of Taiwanese casualties. The incident site is close to McCarran International Airport, which was temporarily closed to all flights.
