This site was originally the office building of the Mitsubishi Paper Mill, built in 1911. During the Japanese colonial period, it functioned as a paper factory. In addition to the grand steel shed, there is also a Japanese-style office building with an elegant exterior and finely detailed interiors that remain in good condition, bearing witness to the mill’s contributions to the local community in Linnei.

The surrounding 6,000-plus square-meter green space of the Former Linnei Village Office, along with its rounded pulp tanks, Japanese-style offices, and large steel shed, not only serve as a great recreational spot for locals but also as a popular location for wedding photo shoots. Moreover, Yunlin County Government plans to connect Linnei, Gukeng, and Douliu areas to create Taiwan’s most relaxing travel route.
