99 Ways to Unwind: Tainan Creates a New Artistic Highlight

The inaugural "Yuguang Island Art Festival," prepared for nearly two years, kicked off on November 11th. With the theme "99 Ways to Unwind on Yuguang Island," it invited nine art teams to create a total of 14 landscape artworks, along with handmade markets, craft workshops, dance performances, and guided tours titled "Strolling Through Yuguang Island." The 16-day event showcased Yuguang Island in a fresh artistic light.

Ten artworks from the Yuguang Island Art Festival are displayed on Crescent Bay Beach, while four pieces are scattered across the windbreak forest along Yuguang Road and the connecting Yuguang Bridge. This time, artists have also specially created customized "unwinding space installations" and "unwinding landscapes," offering a chance to rediscover the deep charm of Yuguang Island through the perspectives of contemporary artists, and to find one’s own unique way of connecting with the locale.
