Tamsui is not only known for its stunning sunsets, but also for its romantic twinkling lights at night. Decorated with glowing lamps, the Tamsui Customs Harbor in winter transforms into something magical. The “2017 Tamsui Customs Harbor Light Sea Festival,” running from now until January 7, 2018, features elements such as public art exhibitions, small-scale farmer creative markets, and cultural performances. Combining the local cultural charm and history of Tamsui, the festival reimagines the Customs Harbor as a new cultural light-travel destination filled with love and warmth, bringing back the former glory of the bustling harbor days.

The first wave of the “2017 Tamsui Customs Harbor Light Sea Festival,” titled “Glimpses of Time – Fleeting Moments Between Mountains and Sea,” is a public art exhibition. It invites renowned artists to create brand-new installations specially tailored to Tamsui’s unique natural scenery and cultural history.
