(I). Discount Activities
Visitors born on October 1st or whose names contain “Guoqing” (National Day) or “Jianguo” (Nation Building) can enjoy free admission to the scenic area on October 1st upon presenting their ID. Additionally, other experience activities (Canopy Walkway / Rainforest Corridor Bridge, Nanla River Sightseeing Cruise) will be offered at a 20% discount.
(II). Follow Wangtianshu’s WeChat and Weibo to Win Beautiful Gifts！

Prize Redemption Location: Prize Redemption Booth Opposite Wangtian Tower
1. During the event period, simply follow the official Weibo (@Xishuangbanna Wangtianshu Scenic Area) or WeChat account of the Wangtianshu Scenic Area. Share your beautiful photos taken in the scenic area (can be scenery, people, unique attractions, etc.) along with your mood or travel notes on Weibo tagging @Xishuangbanna Wangtianshu Scenic Area, or post them to your WeChat Moments. Then, visit the prize redemption location where staff will verify your entry, and you can receive a beautiful gift for free.
2. During the event period, visitors who scan the Wangtianshu Scenic Area WeChat QR code and successfully follow the account can use the free scenic area WiFi to post a mood or travel note. After doing so, they can participate in the WeChat lucky draw to win prizes such as scenic area tickets and combo tickets. Followers of Wangtianshu WeChat are eligible for monthly, quarterly, and annual grand prize draws, with chances to win luxurious gifts such as Xiaomi 3 smartphones, iPad tablets, and iPhone 6 phones！

When you first enter the magical Wangtianshu Tropical Rainforest, you will surely be amazed by the towering and majestic Wangtianshu trees. In this dense rainforest, shaded by a thick canopy, the eye-catching tall trees, huge woody shrubs, and vibrant strangling vines, along with various wonders of the tropical rainforest, wrap the serene land in peace and tranquility. Doesn’t it instantly make you feel refreshed?
1. I Promise, I Practice; I Protect the Environment, I Am Happy
During the event period, the Wangtianshu Scenic Area will launch the “I Promise, I Practice; I Protect the Environment, I Am Happy” campaign. Just pick up a camera (or mobile phone), capture a photo of you with any kind of plant, and write a simple sentence describing the magical rainforest you see. Share it with your friends via Weibo or WeChat Moments to show that you are a spokesperson for the rainforest. Then, share it on WeChat Moments, tag the official scenic area Weibo, or have it verified by staff on-site. You can receive a unique and beautiful gift from deep within the rainforest for free！
2. Wangtianshu Talk Show
Capture your youthful beauty and preserve your travel memories. During the event period, simply take out your phone and record a short talk show about your experience at the Wangtianshu Scenic Area. Share it on Sina Weibo @Xishuangbanna Wangtianshu Scenic Area or on your WeChat Moments. Then, go to the designated prize redemption location and have it verified by staff to receive a beautiful gift for free.
Requirements: The video submitted for the event should be between 8–30 seconds, with clear visuals and positive, healthy content.
(IV). Sow Wangtianshu Seeds, Release Greenery and Hope
Event Period: September 27 – October 7, 2015 (9:00 – 17:00)
Prize Redemption Location: Canopy Walkway / Rainforest Corridor Bridge
In 2011, when Tiangong-1 was launched into space, Wangtianshu seeds were among those of four rare Yunnan plants, including the Yunnan Tree Rhododendron, that were sent into space for breeding. Since Wangtianshu trees grow up to 60–80 meters tall, the seeds are specially equipped with self-protective “wings” to prevent damage upon falling. They spin gracefully down like parachutes — a beautiful sight. However, many seeds get blocked by lower vegetation and cannot reach the soil directly. Scenic area staff have collected those seeds that fell on concrete paths or dangled mid-air for visitors to sow and release, helping the Wangtianshu seeds find their home — fertile soil.
During the event, visitors who take on the challenge of the Canopy Walkway can receive one Wangtianshu seed at the entrance to the walkway / Rainforest Corridor Bridge and release it from the highest point. The spinning descent of the Wangtianshu seed will carry your festive thoughts and blessings to your loved ones and bring you the most sincere greetings from the tropical rainforest. Capture the beautiful moment of releasing the seed or happy times with your family on the aerial walkway, share the photo and text on WeChat Moments, take a screenshot, and send it to the scenic area’s official WeChat or post it on Weibo @Xishuangbanna Wangtianshu Scenic Area (Sina). Then, have it verified by staff at the prize redemption location to receive a beautiful gift.
(V). Lantern Riddle Guessing
Event Period: September 27 – October 7, 2015 (9:00–17:00)
Prize Claim Location: Rainforest Science Popularization Museum (Tongcheng Station)
During the event, a lantern riddle guessing activity will be held at the Rainforest Science Popularization Museum (Tongcheng Station), featuring 60 lantern riddles for visitors to solve. Guests can access free WiFi by following the scenic area’s official WeChat account. Each visitor is allowed to guess one riddle, and those who guess correctly will receive a beautiful gift.
During the festival, there will also be ethnic minority song and dance performances, the chance to experience the Kumuyi people’s “Together Wine,” and other traditional activities such as the Pumi people’s belly drums and ethnic group-specific celebrations.
