As the new year begins, low-cost carrier promotions are gearing up, with Asia’s budget airlines AirAsia, Tigerair, and Vanilla Air all launching special ticket deals!

AirAsia is now offering its New Year promotion tickets from today until February 18, with departure dates ranging from now until July 31, 2018. Fly from Taipei to Kuala Lumpur starting at just TWD 1,288 (excluding tax) one-way. Travel via Kuala Lumpur to the honeymoon paradise of the Maldives, starting at TWD 3,189 (excluding tax) one-way. Popular Australian destinations such as Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney are available from TWD 3,800 (excluding tax) one-way.

During the New Year period, AirAsia has also introduced a brand-new exclusive meal — Emperor Fried Rice — as well as duty-free lucky bags. The lucky bags come in four sizes priced at 38 MYR, 68 MYR, 88 MYR, and 128 MYR, with the total value of contents exceeding six times the bag's price.

In addition, Vanilla Air, a subsidiary of ANA, also announced great news: the new route from Taipei (Taoyuan) to Fukuoka is expected to officially commence seasonal flights in the summer of 2018, becoming the fourth international route from Taipei to Japan, following Tokyo (Narita), Osaka (Kansai), and Okinawa (Naha).
