Along Lane 42, Pingjing Street in Shilin District, cherry blossoms are currently in full bloom—an absolutely stunning sight. It’s recommended that visitors combine their cherry blossom viewing with a hike along the “Bamboo Forest Trail.” At the entrance of the trail, cherry trees are already outstretched, dancing in the breeze as if welcoming you. Paired with blue skies and white clouds, the view is truly breathtaking.

The Bamboo Forest Trail begins at Lane 42, Pingjing Street. Lush green bamboo lines both sides of the path, accompanied by the sounds of chirping birds and buzzing insects. A leisurely walk along this narrow trail allows you to fully enjoy the serene bamboo scenery and unwind. The trail eventually leads to a small pavilion near Gongping Bridge, where visitors can have a picnic, rest, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere before heading back. If you continue past Gongping Bridge, you’ll connect to the Gouyinqin Ancient Trail (also known as the Tail Water Channel), which eventually exits via Lane 350, Yonggong Road.

Additionally, Beitou District boasts the highest density of cherry blossom groves in Taipei, with the blooming period starting around February. It’s recommended to hike down from the “Shangqing Palace Trail,” which connects popular cherry blossom spots such as Shangqing Palace, the Wu Family Ancestral Hall, and Anguo Temple.
