Inheritance and innovation are the core philosophies driving MobiGarden’s continuous development.

From January 16 to 19, 2019, the 15th ISPO Beijing — Asia Outdoor Trade Show & Expo was held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. As a renowned outdoor brand, MobiGarden made its appearance at the exhibition with its latest concepts and products, attracting many professional guests and drawing large crowds with lively interactions and enthusiastic business discussions.

The Chinese outdoor market has undergone noticeable changes. In the past, people from the 60s and 70s generations who engaged in outdoor activities viewed it as something trendy. However, now that the 80s, 90s, and even 00s generations have reached an age where they are active in outdoor pursuits, they find traditional outdoor activities like hiking, trekking, and camping too tough. Younger generations tend to prefer more experiential and emerging outdoor activities such as skiing, skateboarding, ice-skating, and rollerblading, resulting in a generational gap in outdoor interests.

MobiGarden responds to market changes with a strategy of inheritance and innovation
MobiGarden’s brand positioning is based on inheritance and innovation. As an outdoor brand, the outdoors remains its fundamental DNA. To better adapt to market changes, MobiGarden divides outdoor activities into light outdoor and professional outdoor, using its Double Deer logo and Mountain logo to represent the corresponding product lines.

Little Mobi represents the Double Deer logo, and its products are divided into two main lines: urban commuting and travel, falling under the category of light outdoor. These products combine fashion-forward aesthetics with functionality, evolving toward a stylish direction while never straying from their outdoor roots. During the exhibition, MobiGarden showcased Little Mobi’s 2019 Spring/Summer new collection at the ISPO Official Fashion Show, where its trendy, fashionable, and sporty designs attracted numerous on-site visitors.

MobiGarden’s Mountain logo, known as Big Mobi, focuses on developing more professional-grade products. For example, tents emphasize lightweight design, and sleeping bags focus on warmth retention and suitability for high altitudes.

In 2019, MobiGarden promoted two major product series
The Cold Mountain series is the most famous tent line from MobiGarden. Since its launch in 2003, it has sold over 700,000 units, becoming a popular choice among camping enthusiasts. In 2019, MobiGarden launched the sixth generation of the Cold Mountain UL series. UL, understood literally, stands for ultralight, but MobiGarden defines UL as exoskeleton design. Traditional tents require setting up the inner tent first, which can get wet during rainy setup. MobiGarden’s Cold Mountain UL series features an exoskeleton design where the inner and outer tents are directly connected via fasteners. The most significant advantage of this structural design is that there's no need to worry about setting up in the rain—even during wet conditions, the inner tent remains dry.

The Cold Mountain UL series also incorporates lightweight fabrics and features lighter aluminum poles, reducing the overall weight of the tents. Especially the Cold Mountain UL1 PRO double-Y-pole single-person tent, which weighs only 1.05 kilograms—about the same as carrying a few apples. That’s why MobiGarden’s Cold Mountain UL series is called the ultralight series with exoskeleton design.

In 2019, MobiGarden’s professional-grade sleeping bag won the German ISPO AWARD Design Award. This sleeping bag has two standout features: one is its three-in-one design, featuring an extra quilt for double insulation, along with a zip-off system that allows for customizable use.

The other feature is that it allows users to stick their hands and feet out. When body temperature gets too high, the bottom zipper provides ventilation and lets your feet extend freely. If needed, you can use the side zipper along with the bottom zipper to wear the sleeping bag like a camp outfit and walk around outdoors while wearing it.

MobiGarden’s award-winning professional sleeping bag is designed for more extreme camping environments and targets a niche, professional user base. To meet broader market needs, MobiGarden plans to release a mass-market version based on the award-winning model. It will offer similar functional design but adjust the temperature range the sleeping bag is suited for, resulting in a more affordable price to better serve the general outdoor consumer market.
