In the new promotional video, Ayame Goto, dressed in retro yet fashionable outfits, travels through well-known attractions around Taiwan, including the Old Street of Sanxia, Gaomei Wetlands, Rainbow Village, as well as Kaohsiung’s Liuhe Night Market and various traditional temples in Tainan.
The premiere, originally scheduled for February this year, was postponed after various discussions to prioritize the recovery of Hualien. Ayame Goto continues last year’s promotional theme “Meet Colors ! Taiwan,” while this year she presents a more colorful and captivating image of Taiwan under the new slogan “New. Taiwan-Taiwan+.”
The full 2018 promotional video was completed at the end of last year, along with the simultaneous launch of four visual designs themed around food, shopping, wellness, and romance. These visuals showcase a variety of colorful landscapes developed around these themes, with Ayame Goto interacting with large watercolor paints.
After the previous promotional video aired in Japan, the number of Japanese tourists visiting Taiwan increased by 5%, delivering unexpectedly positive results. Therefore, Ayame Goto has been invited again this year. She portrays a traveler exploring different spots across Taiwan, embodying the maturity of old streets, the vibrancy of military dependents’ villages, the serenity of Sun Moon Lake, the solemnity of temples, and the liveliness of night markets.
