Coffee culture is becoming increasingly widespread in Taiwan, and people are becoming more discerning about their coffee choices. In addition to brewing methods and the origin of coffee beans, a new trend has emerged—“nitro coffee” infused with nitrogen. It looks like draft beer, with a layer of fine bubbles that add texture, making the coffee smoother and creamier.

1. Ji Yang Manor Coffee
With many branches across central and southern Taiwan, Ji Yang Manor Coffee specializes not only in roasting estate-level coffee beans from around the world but also serves as a museum for antique coffee brewing equipment. Some of its collections have been loaned to the Kaohsiung Museum of Science and Technology for display. The café brews coffee using methods such as siphon and pour-over drip, and in recent years has collaborated with a local Taiwanese coffee equipment brand to develop estate-level nitro coffee.

2. Starbucks Longmen Concept Store
Starbucks Longmen Concept Store offers a brand-new coffee experience, featuring hand-brewed coffee, nitro cold brew, and more. In the afternoon, it also serves alcoholic beverages such as sparkling wine, red wine, and coffee craft beer, creating a cozy atmosphere for casual drinking. Among them, the Reserve Nitro Cold Brew coffee has a creamy texture like butter, delivering a naturally sweet and smooth taste.

3. Kaffuns Brew Coffee
Located on Xinmei Street in Tainan’s Xinmei District, Kaffuns Brew Coffee is a highly atmospheric café that insists on using premium specialty coffee beans. It offers hand-brewed coffee, single-origin lattes, hand-whipped matcha, and extreme extraction coffee. Its nitro coffee uses a proprietary brewing method, showcasing unique flavors and textures.
