The area around Zhuzihu in Yangmingshan is currently in peak hydrangea blooming season, drawing numerous flower-loving travelers to the mountains to admire the dreamy hydrangeas. Not only are they rushing into the gardens to take photos, but many hydrangea fields in Zhuzihu have become recent hotspots for photos. Due to the heavy holiday traffic, to avoid congestion, the Public Transport Bureau has implemented weekend traffic controls.

To coincide with the blooming period of the hydrangea seas in Zhuzihu, the Public Transport Bureau has decided to enforce six weeks of traffic control from May 19 to June 24 during consecutive holidays in the Zhuzihu area and Yangde Boulevard. Flower-viewing travelers are encouraged to use public transport or shuttle buses to get to the mountain, to avoid disappointment.

2018 Zhuzihu Hydrangea Season Traffic Control
Dates: 2018/5/19-20, 5/26-27, 2018/6/2-3, 6/9-10, 6/16-18, 6/23-24
Yangmingshan Control Times and Areas:
1. Uphill Control Points: 8:00-15:00 at “Yangde Boulevard & Zhicheng Intersection” and “Section 2, Zhishan Road, Lane 1 Intersection”
2. Downhill Control Points: 14:00-18:00 at “Yangming Road & Zhongheng Street Intersection” and “Gezhi Road & Kaishe Road Intersection”
Zhuzihu Area Road Controls:
Time: 9:00-18:00
1. From Huyi Bridge westward along Calla Lily Boulevard to the fork leading to Zhongzheng Mountain, flexible one-way clockwise traffic control is implemented
2. Eastbound from Huyi Bridge is two-way, with red lines painted along the entire roadside of the two-way section
3. The Dinghu section is one-way only and U-turns are prohibited; vehicles exit via Shiban Road toward Yangjin Highway
