Tropical Depression 1006 hPa, located at 10.5°N, 113.5°E, over the waters near Spratly Islands, is moving slowly north-northwest and shows signs of developing into a mild typhoon. It could form into this year’s fourth typhoon, Awin, as early as the evening of the 2nd. It is expected to affect Taiwan next Tuesday, and the likelihood of rainfall in southeastern Taiwan will also significantly increase next week.

Other regions will see localized brief thunderstorms in the afternoon over the next couple of days, with a chance of heavy rain in the afternoon. The Spratly Islands will be affected by the outer circulation of the tropical depression, bringing strong winds—please stay alert.
