The annual food extravaganza "2018 Taiwan Culinary Exhibition" kicks off deliciously from August 10 to 13 this year. With the theme "A Beautiful Era of Good Food," the event features five themed zones: "Delicious Taiwan," "Exploring Culinary Arts," "Flavorful Moments," "Taiwan’s Landscapes," and "International Cuisine" to showcase Taiwanese cuisine.

Additionally, singer-songwriter Crowd Lu has been invited to serve as the promotional ambassador for the 2018 Taiwan Culinary Exhibition. He will also appear at the exhibition venue on August 11 to invite everyone to explore the world of food together.

This year, the Taiwan Culinary Exhibition is hosting the grand inaugural "Taiwan Culinary Month" event. The organizer, the Taiwan Visitors Association, has designated August as "Taiwan Culinary Month," extending the originally four-day exhibition throughout the entire month. During the event period, specially curated gourmet dining tables are also being offered.

The event also invites 12 groups and 21 well-known hotels featured in the "Delicious Taiwan" zone to take part in the Taiwan Culinary Month, aiming to promote the charm of Taiwanese cuisine to even more places through this month-long celebration.

Government units participating in this year’s culinary exhibition include the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications' "Mountain & Sea Banquet Pavilion" and "Snacks with Grandeur Pavilion," which showcase award-winning tableware designs by design students; the "Flavorful Moments Pavilion" by the Department of Commerce of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, which uses fully recyclable tableware throughout the exhibition; the "Fine Wines & Spirits Pavilion" by the National Treasury Administration of the Ministry of Finance, which brings premium Taiwanese alcoholic beverages along with wine tasting classes and cocktail performances; and a total of nine government units offering a diverse and rich culinary feast.
