After Miramar Cinemas in Dazhi abruptly announced closure for a month due to shareholder disputes on June 22, the theater began trial operations on July 27 and officially reopened on Father’s Day, August 8.

During the trial period, only three films were screened, headlined by the blockbuster hit “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” alongside “Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer” and “Skyscraper.” Screenings started at 9:00 AM on July 27, with limited access to selected halls on the 6th floor.

On the official reopening day, August 8, to coincide with the release of “Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days,” the cinema launched a special ticket promotion—general screenings for just $99 and IMAX tickets for $199 when purchased on-site, aiming to draw moviegoers back with top-tier films and attractive pricing.
“Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days” will be released on August 8.
The over one-month closure caused inconvenience to many movie fans and also led to nearly a 30% drop in visitor numbers at the adjacent shopping mall, Miramar Ferris Wheel. The cinema itself suffered significant losses. During the downtime, interior renovations were undertaken—including new carpets, curtains, and seats in the screening halls. Miramar explained that the delayed reopening was due to final testing of related equipment.
