After the East District Family Center, Hsinchu City’s second family center is located inside the Xiangshan District Administration Building. It is also the city’s first “inclusive family center,” centered around the core concepts of being family-friendly, fostering exploration and growth, and emphasizing shared learning and fun between parents and children. It creates a dedicated space for family leisure and recreation.

The Xiangshan Family Center is designed with spaces suitable for all age groups from 0 to 12 years old, including toddler play areas, block-building game zones, role-play areas, children’s scooter tracks, splash painting classrooms, and more.

Each area is also equipped with inclusive facilities and teaching aids such as dual-view DMs, audiobooks, warning lights, positioning chairs, and sensory integration toys.

The Xiangshan Family Center features a glass pyramid-style building with high ceilings that allow plenty of natural light. Inside, it has a treehouse-themed design, along with extended tunnels and a paper roll maze, providing children with a safe and joyful play environment.

The Xiangshan Family Center opened on August 19 and began official operations on August 21. The city’s third family center will be located in the North District and is expected to be completed in 2019, adding more family-friendly spaces in Hsinchu City.

Business hours: Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:30–12:00 and 13:00–17:30 (closed Mondays)
Three sessions are available daily, each 90 minutes long, with a capacity of 50 parent-child pairs per session

Third session: 15:30–17:00
