"Mummy Egg Waffles," which won Hong Kong’s Michelin street food recommendation for three consecutive years from 2016 to 2018, set up its first overseas branch in June on Ximending Movie Street in Taipei. And from August 9 to August 31, it held its first overseas pop-up event on the B1 floor of Shinjuku SOGO Department Store, launching an exclusive Valentine’s Day limited-edition flavor.

To celebrate the arrival of Valentine’s Day, Shinjuku SOGO has launched an exclusive Valentine’s Day limited-edition egg waffle flavor: "Rose Cranberry Egg Waffles." Rose powder, rose petals, and dried cranberries are added to the egg waffle batter. The rose fragrance wafts through the air during the making process and can be smelled from afar. The flavor is sweet-sour, refreshing, and floral—perfectly matching the romantic atmosphere of Valentine’s Day.

Mummy Egg Waffles not only imports key ingredients from Hong Kong but also incorporates local Taiwanese elements. The base of the egg waffles comes in three flavors: exclusive rose cranberry, original, and matcha. As for toppings, there are also other popular Hong Kong options such as white sesame, spicy meat floss, chocolate chips, double cheese, and matcha red beans.
