After Taipei and Hsinchu, the super adorable and Instagram-famous penguins have come to Tainan for a long-term exhibition. In celebration of the upcoming Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine’s Day), Qigu Salt Mountain has invited the “520 Penguin Flash Love Action” from Jingyan Banquet Hall as a special exhibit. Whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic photo op or a single visitor hoping to pray for love under the moon, the 110 penguins at the salt mountain attraction are very appealing.

The 520 penguin installation art that once appeared at Jingyan Banquet Halls in Taipei and Hsinchu created an IG photo trend with their cute looks.
In recent years, Qigu Salt Mountain has featured giant mascot characters such as lucky cats, little angels, owls, and Mr. Penguin, combining them with the main peak of the salt mountain, salt-drying cultural creativity, and nearby attractions. Following the largest penguin mascot, an army of super cute penguins has also moved into the park, displaying a large group of charming penguins running with wings spread. The 110 handmade penguin figurines each have unique expressions, full of liveliness, emotion, and warmth.

In addition to the lively group of little penguins, you can also see the approximately six-meter-tall Mr. Lucky Penguin of Qigu Salt Mountain.
Legend says that penguins are the most loyal animals in the world—most mate for life and stay together forever once they’ve chosen a partner. Also, because the Chinese word for “salt” (盐) sounds like “fate” or “connection” (缘), Qigu Salt Mountain has launched the “Qixi Salt Continues Love” event, where 110 penguins accompany visitors at the salt mountain for the Qixi Festival, making it both festive and romantic.
