In order to better understand the travel needs of Taiwanese visitors and to allow more travel and photography enthusiasts to discover the beauty of Okayama, Japan, Okayama Prefecture has hosted the “Hometown of Momotaro 0?Okayama Photography & Travel Project Photo Contest” for three consecutive years starting in 2015. The application deadline is March 31 of this year. Simply visit the official contest website, upload your Okayama travel plan and existing travel landscape photo works, and you’ll have a chance to win a free 4-day, 3-night trip to Okayama, Japan, for travel and photography.

The “4th Hometown of Momotaro 0?Okayama Photography & Travel Project Photo Contest” is recruiting travel and photography enthusiasts through the following website.(Contest Website: https://contest.bhuntr.com/tw/okayamaphoto-2018). In the first phase, five participants will be selected to be invited to Okayama Prefecture for a travel and photography trip. In the second phase, the invited participants will be asked to submit their photography works from their trip to Okayama after returning to Taiwan. The top three selected works will receive additional prize money, and an award ceremony will be held. The award ceremony will also showcase carefully selected photography works of Japan’s Okayama from all contestants.

Sunny Kingdom Okayama – Spring Flowers, Summer Fruits, Autumn Leaves, Winter Snows. Convenient Transportation Makes It a Year-Round Destination
The biggest difference this year compared to previous years is that the past three photography contests were all held in summer. To allow the public to better appreciate the beauty of Okayama across all four seasons, in April this year, the top three winners from previous editions were specially invited to Okayama to capture the spring wisteria blossoms. The five selected participants of the 4th photography contest will visit Okayama during the autumn maple leaf season in November for travel and photography. The public can gain a deeper understanding of Okayama’s unique charm through photography works from different seasons.

Okayama, Japan, is not only the Sunny Kingdom, but its unique geographical environment also leads Japan in both fruit production and sweetness, earning it the reputation of the “Fruit Kingdom.” For example, Okayama’s nationally famous white peaches, muscat grapes, and strawberries offer delicious fruits for visitors to enjoy all year round.

Traveling from Okayama to Osaka takes just about 40 minutes by Shinkansen, and about 35 minutes to Hiroshima. The convenient transportation saves travelers from much of the fatigue of long journeys.
