The Professional Winning Formula of Aimer Sports
On January 16, 2019, ISPO Beijing 2019 — the 15th Asia Outdoor and Sports Trade Show — grandly opened at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue). As the most influential and largest-scale industry benchmark exhibition in the Asia-Pacific sports and fashion sector, Aimer Sports made a stunning debut at ISPO with its 2019 new product line.

Aimer, as a leading brand in China’s lingerie industry, is committed to being a companion in the lives of Chinese women. With sports becoming a popular lifestyle among modern women, consumer demand is the direction in which Aimer strives. Aimer Sports will continue to adhere to the standard of spending three years developing one premium bra, focusing on R&D in sports bras, leveraging its professional advantage in lingerie research to offer scientific and effective protection for women’s breast health. At the same time, the brand will become more actively involved in the sporting lives of modern women.
With the rise of Chinese women’s socioeconomic status, consumer demand has further expanded. Investment in sports equipment by women has been increasing year by year, indicating a clear trend where women are becoming the main force in consumption. These consumers can be divided into two groups: dedicated sports enthusiasts and general sports lovers. Dedicated sports fans are truly immersed in sports, possess rich experience, and pay close attention to functionality. In contrast, sports lovers have lower participation frequency and are more concerned with product aesthetics, chasing trends and competing in gear, often using various photo-sharing and social media apps.

Aimer Sports adopts different marketing strategies for these distinct consumer groups. For sports lovers, Aimer Sports focuses more on social media marketing, such as collaborating with fitness and fashion KOLs, and utilizing high-engagement video and social platforms. For dedicated sports fans, Aimer Sports hopes to organize or participate in at least one women’s marathon event per year, offering them more professional products and encouraging greater female participation. Since 2018, Aimer has partnered with Ms. Wang Liping, the women’s race walking champion of the Sydney Olympics, sponsoring the “Liren 18” women’s marathon, which received an overwhelmingly positive response. In 2019, Aimer will deepen this collaboration and host the “Aimer Sports Pink Run” charity event in Beijing in the second half of the year. This event aims to raise awareness among women about breast health and encourage the prevention of breast diseases through exercise. Public attention to this cause is also greatly hoped for.
Professional studies have shown that one of the most crucial aspects of women's sports is wearing well-fitted clothing. We are now in the era of gear competition. Backed by the Research Institute of Sports Science at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports and supported by extensive testing data, Aimer Sports has several researchers stationed long-term at the institute, studying basic ergonomic parameters of Chinese adults. To date, tens of thousands of data points have been collected, providing highly valuable guidance for product design.
Beyond data research, Aimer also holds numerous product design patents. One key example is the “X-Guard” technology, a patented feature developed as a highlight over the past two years — the anatomically enlarged bra model displayed at our booth. Its core technology is “Front X, Back H.” It’s called X-Guard because the front panel features an X-shaped structure that effectively stabilizes the base of the breasts, reducing breast movement during exercise. The back strap adopts an H-shaped design. According to experiments and data collected by the Research Institute of Sports Science at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports on various back panel structures in sports bras, the H-shaped back panel has been proven to offer the best stability among multiple designs.

Additionally, in the second half of this year, Aimer Sports will focus on launching the “Pink Run Bra,” co-developed with Ms. Wang Liping. This bra combines supportive materials with a three-dimensional cut to deliver higher-intensity support, meeting the demands of long-distance running. The back utilizes the aforementioned H-shaped structure for greater stability while avoiding the range of motion of the shoulder blades, enabling freer arm movement. The molded cups are made with standing cotton, which is comfortable, breathable, and eco-friendly.
In terms of functionality, Aimer Sports’ 2019 product line features a variety of functional fabrics, including “moisture-wicking & quick-drying,” “cooling sensation,” and “UV protection” suitable for spring and summer, as well as “unidirectional moisture transport” and “dry & warm retention” suitable for autumn and winter. These provide a comfortable sports experience while offering effective bodily protection.
Regarding comfort, Aimer Sports develops garment patterns based on data provided by the Research Institute of Sports Science at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, ensuring the clothing meets ergonomic and sports performance needs. Especially for sports bras, some of our high-performance styles have achieved excellent results in shock absorption for the breasts in vertical, horizontal, front, and back directions during movement. The vertical shock absorption rate has exceeded 54%, matching top-tier global sports bra brands, effectively reducing breast damage during exercise. These latest R&D outcomes will all be integrated into our 2019 products.

Furthermore, we have collaborated with the China Fashion Color Association to provide overall color recommendations and controls for new products, ensuring they align with Asian skin tones and dressing habits while staying trendy and fashionable.
In the future, Aimer will delve deeper into two of the most popular sports scenarios for women. One is running, where we will continue to develop marathon series products. Relying on the Aimer Research Institute of Sports Science at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, we aim to offer products catering to different needs — from beginners to advanced runners — accompanying modern women as they take their first steps toward achieving their marathon dreams. The other focus is yoga. Based on different types of yoga and drawing on Aimer’s design aesthetic that blends Eastern and Western elements, we will provide yoga apparel with varying functionalities while suiting the body beauty standards of Asian women. In 2019, Aimer Sports will offer members courses in “Breast-Enhancing Yoga” and “Glute-Lifting Yoga,” supporting women in their active lifestyles.
Women’s breasts require extra care during exercise. We hope more and more women will experience Aimer Sports and enjoy its intimate protection.
