The Taipei Westin The Regent Taipei, a five-star hotel with a 20-year history, is set to close due to annual losses of nearly NT$1.2 billion and heavy rental burdens. Accommodation services will continue until December 30, and dining services until December 31, marking the end of an era at year's close.

Even with closure news circulating, The Regent Taipei is still offering a "double the joy" promotion: stay two nights, get one night free, plus a delicious five-star chef’s energizing breakfast.
All meal vouchers and accommodation vouchers can be used until the end of this year. For any unused vouchers after expiration, they can be redeemed at other group properties such as The Regent Taipei Marriott, Regent Inn, and Leofoo Village Theme Park.
