Low-cost carrier Scoot held the second round of flight attendant interviews in Taipei on August 18. This recruitment drive attracted 1,300 online applications. After the first screening, 200 candidates were shortlisted for the interview stage, with around 40 ultimately offered positions, resulting in an acceptance rate of approximately 3%.

The successful candidates will head to Singapore this September to work based there. After completing training, the average starting monthly salary is SGD 2,400.
This marks the fifth time Scoot has recruited flight attendants from Taiwan. Those who have graduated from university, possess fluent English communication skills, preferably also know Japanese and Korean, and meet relevant requirements, have the opportunity to become Scoot flight attendants based in Singapore.

In the six years since its establishment, Scoot has expanded its network to over 60 cities and continues to grow its fleet and route map. By 2022, the fleet is expected to double to 70 aircraft. Currently, Scoot holds about 40% of the seat share in Singapore’s low-cost airline market and aims to surpass 50% in the coming years.

Scoot currently employs 2,100 staff, including 1,000 cabin crew members, and plans to recruit an additional 1,000 flight attendants within the next two years. There are already 41 Taiwanese flight attendants at Scoot, nicknamed “Scootees,” who serve passengers with the vibrant and passionate “Scoot spirit.”
Scoot frequently hosts popular trendy inflight activities, including cabin crew-themed costume parties, onboard neon dance parties, and onboard weddings.
Taiwan is an important hub in Scoot’s route network, with currently 50 weekly flights operating from the island. Scoot operates direct flights from Taipei to Singapore (23 flights), Tokyo (12 flights), Sapporo (4 flights), and Seoul (3 flights), and from Kaohsiung to Singapore (4 flights) and Osaka (4 flights). From Singapore, passengers can connect to destinations across Southeast Asia, Australia, India, and Europe.
Scoot has been named Asia-Pacific’s Best Low-Cost Airline for four consecutive years, with a route network covering 66 destinations, including Berlin, Germany, which launched its inaugural flight in June 2018.
