The annual National Day fireworks this year will be launched in Hualien. This year's display will match the scale of the 2017 Taitung event, featuring six major themes, and will be set off from the east breakwater of Hualien Harbor.

This year’s National Day fireworks show in Hualien will be held at the east breakwater of Hualien Harbor. Similar to the Taitung event, it will feature six major themes, each lasting about six minutes, for a total of 36 minutes of fireworks.

The fireworks this year will be launched from the east breakwater of Hualien Harbor, visible from both Hualien City and Ji’an Township. Prime viewing spots include the Dongmen Night Market, Seaside Boulevard, Seaside Street, and the southern section of Nanbin Park.

The Hualien County Government will also host National Day events on the day, with the main venue tentatively set at the [Mei] Athletic Field. Local groups will perform, and numerous shuttle buses will transport the public and tourists to the venue, the Dongmen Night Market, and other areas, allowing everyone to enjoy the evening performances and fireworks.
