Remember last year’s steak-grade handmade burger craze sparked by Buger Fix and Burger Ray? Thanks to the use of steak-grade minced meat, the burgers were juicy and tender, even allowing for medium-rare options. Now, the burger game has evolved further with the use of dry-aged beef. The Westin Taipei has invited The Butchers Club Burger for a guest appearance to launch a dry-aged beef burger, while The Regent Taipei also introduces the “US Premium 55-Day Dry-Aged Beef Burger.”

Fresh & Aged The Regent Taipei Steakhouse
For the first time, Executive Chef Chen Zhongguang of Regent Taipei’s food and beverage division used 55-day dry-aged beef to create the “US Premium 55-Day Dry-Aged Beef Burger.” In addition to its juicy filling, the toppings are simply dry-aged butter-sautéed spinach and onions with a hint of balsamic aroma — no other sauces are added, yet they still highlight the natural sweetness of the beef. The set meal also comes with freshly fried golden crispy fries, crispy bacon, and specially made spiced salted cucumbers. Limited to lunchtime from Monday to Friday each week, each set is NT$1,500 and is only available until the end of August.

The Westin Taipei
Hong Kong’s currently hottest “Michelin burger,” The Butchers Club Burger, made a pop-up appearance at The Westin Taipei’s B-One Buffet Restaurant from July 8 to 10. For this pop-up, The Butchers Club Burger brought its best-selling “THE BURGER” – a dry-aged Angus black beef patty paired with classic burger toppings and a secret sauce. It uses USDA Prime Angus black beef aged in a professional dry-aging room with controlled temperature and humidity for at least 30 days, resulting in tender meat with rich aroma.
Although the pop-up has ended, all three dry-aged beef burgers are still available at B-One until the end of July without any extra charge. These include the popular “Original – Classic Burger,” the beef-and-cheese-loaded “Double Happiness – Double Joy Burger,” and the Asian-style “Wu Tan – Wu Tang Burger” that incorporates Korean kimchi.
