Sushi then pho? Vanilla Air launches Taipei–Ho Chi Minh City route on September 14

Vanilla Air will start selling tickets for the Taipei–Ho Chi Minh City route at 13:00 on July 14. The airline plans to establish Taiwan as its second base and officially launch the Taipei–Ho Chi Minh City route on September 14. One-way fares start from NT$1,998 to NT$2,598 (excluding tax).

Vanilla Air, which launched the Taipei–Tokyo route in December 2013, currently offers flights from Taiwan to Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa. Once the Ho Chi Minh City route begins, it will also allow travelers to easily extend their journeys southward.

The Taipei departure time for Vanilla Air is 21:50, arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 00:30+1; the flight departs Ho Chi Minh City at 01:35 and arrives in Taipei at 06:10, making it a red-eye flight. Vanilla Air noted that Ho Chi Minh City not only has growing economic and trade development but also boasts diverse culture, local charm, and traditional cuisine, among other excellent tourism attractions. Travelers can visit Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon and the Central Post Office to admire romantic French architecture, then head to Ben Thanh Market to try Vietnamese street food, pho, and unique French dishes, while admiring the graceful figures of women in the traditional Vietnamese "ao dai" dresses.
