Caretta Shiodome’s magical winter light display this year draws inspiration from Disney princess animated films. The “Frozen” world features 250,000 lights choreographed to the song “Let It Go,” transforming Tokyo’s night skyline into a snowy wonderland. “Tangled” showcases lantern elements inspired by Princess Rapunzel’s birthday, accompanied by fantasy lighting effects that bring the global blockbuster fairy tale to life.

2. Marunouchi
Located near Tokyo Station and connecting neighborhoods such as Yurakucho and Otemachi, the 1.2km “Marunouchi Naka Dori” street in Marunouchi is adorned with over one million champagne-gold LED lights on approximately 200 roadside trees. All the lights are powered by solar and wind energy, creating a romantic Christmas atmosphere in the city.

3. Roppongi
In the 2,000-square-meter space of Roppongi Midtown, the “Space Journey” theme designed around the seven planets of the solar system makes visitors feel as if they’re wandering through the galaxy. Available exclusively from November 13 to December 16, the theme “Birth of Stars, Radiance, and Explosion” uses lightweight, highly transparent bulbs resembling soap bubbles to illuminate the streets, showcasing the dreamy and vast sparkle of the universe.

4. Blue Cave
In the bustling Shibuya district, the Blue Cave will light up 600,000 bulbs this year along an 800-meter stretch from the zelkova tree-lined path of Yoyogi Park to Shibuya Park Avenue. Let the mysterious blue glow of the “Blue Cave” accompany you through a romantic Christmas.
