Competing in the Stunning Guam Triathlon — Taiwanese Athlete Yu Kai Wins Men's Overall Championship

The "Guam Standard Triathlon" saw participation from over a hundred athletes from various countries, including a team of 12 Taiwanese athletes forming the Taiwan Triathlon Team. Yu Kai from Vertex Sports Triathlon Team claimed the men's overall championship with an outstanding performance. Another Taiwanese athlete, Lin Bonen, closely followed to secure second place. The Taiwan team also secured multiple medals across various categories, delivering an impressive performance.

The Guam Standard Triathlon has been held for over fifteen years, and this was the first time a team of Taiwanese athletes registered to compete. The group included sweet couples as well as athletes who brought along their entire families to cheer them on. The Guam Triathlon Association also provided local scooter transport assistance, and the post-race meal organized by the hosts included a special selection of Chinese cuisine to make the Taiwanese athletes feel at home.

Fei Yufan, who won the women's championship in the 18-29 age category, mentioned that the organizers provided well-equipped hydration stations throughout the running segment, and she was particularly impressed by the enthusiasm of the staff. Lin Bonen, who came in second in the men's category, said the joyful atmosphere of everyone eating and celebrating together after the race made the experience uniquely memorable.

The Guam Visitors Bureau noted that in addition to the triathlon, there will be several sporting events in the second half of the year, including the KoKo Marathon on October 30 and the Guam Cycling Around-the-Island Race on December 11.
