Located in Taipei’s Xinyi District, Breeze Nan Shan opened on January 10, 2019. Floors 2 to 4 are occupied by Japanese shopping mall atré, including a JR East Japan café “JAPAN RAIL FAEF,” the second Asian overseas branch after Singapore.

The “Japan Rail Café” established by JR East Japan allows travelers to gather tourism information and insights from various parts of Japan. The café also sells JR Rail Passes and provides services such as food and beverage, retail merchandise, and event hosting.
The café boasts bright lighting and a smooth flow of movement.
JR East Japan is a major company under the Japan Railways Group, with businesses spanning railways, hotels, bento meals, department stores, and more. In the future, it plans to introduce JR East Japan's hotel, bento, dining, and other services centered around train stations across Taiwan.

The café has collaborated with Shizuoka Maru-Nana Seicha to launch seven varieties of matcha Italian gelato with varying intensities. Among them, the “Premium No. 7” is currently the richest matcha gelato in the world—don’t miss it if you’re a matcha fan.

The goal of establishing the café is to become a hub for disseminating Japan-related information, as well as a local gathering place for those highly interested in Japan. Therefore, a Japan travel desk has been set up in-store, selling various Japan travel products such as transport tickets like the JR Rail Pass, flight tickets, and package tours including airfare and hotels.
