Only 3 days left！Hualien Indigenous Harvest Festival kicks off with a spectacular “thousand-person dance”

The “Hualien County Indigenous Peoples Joint Harvest Festival” kicked off on the 22nd and will run for three days at the Meilin Track-and-Field Stadium. This year’s theme is the Bunun tribe. The three-day evening events are divided into Nights of Abundance, Heavenly Sounds, and Martial Feats, with various groups performing songs and dances that symbolize the millet harvest and full granaries. Coupled with the traditional indigenous costumes worn by the performers, visitors can experience the cultures of the Bunun, Amis, Truku, and Sediq tribes all in one event, while feeling an abundance of blessings.

On the 23rd during the Night of Heavenly Sounds, reporters witnessed not only internationally acclaimed eight-part harmony performances but also a variety of indigenous food and drinks available outside the venue, such as roast pig, bamboo tube rice, and flying fish, as well as cultural and creative goods featuring indigenous-style woven patterns. Visitors could immerse themselves in indigenous culture through food, drink, and fun.
