The highly anticipated Taipei Nanshan Plaza, the second tallest building in Taipei City, has already opened many office floors for corporate tenants. The shopping mall section, “Weifeng Nanshan,” will officially open on January 10. Spanning from the B2 to the 7th floor, it will house over 50 multi-brand outlets, many of which are opening their first branches in Taiwan. Below are the three highlights of the food street!

1. Chen Xingfa – Xingji Restaurant
Hong Kong’s iconic comfort food brand and top claypot rice specialist “Chen Xingfa – Xingji Restaurant” is opening its first Taiwan branch at B2 of Weifeng Nanshan. Operating successfully in Hong Kong for 38 years, it has been ranked among the top 10 “must-eat foods in Hong Kong” online every year, selling an average of 1,700 claypot rice meals daily—enough to stack up to the height of Taipei 101 in just two days.

The signature feature of Xingji’s claypot rice is its “golden crispy crust”—a golden, crunchy layer of rice at the bottom, drizzled with a special soy sauce that offers a subtle sweet and savory aroma. In addition to classic offerings like Chinese sausage and octopus chicken claypot rice, the restaurant will also serve a variety of popular Hong Kong-style claypot dishes and stir-fries. During the first four days of opening, the first 30 customers can enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free deal on any claypot rice.

2. Dim Sum Mini
Also located on B2, Dim Sum Mini is the trendy new sub-brand of Dim Sum, currently with four locations across Taiwan. Dim Sum Mini focuses on quick, delicious, and comforting Hong Kong-style staples, dim sum, and drinks. During the first four days of opening, customers who take photos at the in-store photo wall can enjoy a “buy one get one free” drink promotion.
 
The must-try pork bun with flowing egg custard from Dim Sum, known for its cute shape and sweet golden filling, now comes in a purple yam version as an exclusive offering: the “Taro Pork Bun.” Its ultra-cute design is sure to spark a new wave of Instagram-worthy food trends.

3. Cookie Quartet
Besides “Jenny Bakery’s Famous Cookies,” another must-buy Hong Kong travel souvenir is “Cookie Quartet.” Starting January 10, you can find it at Weifeng Nanshan, especially its highly popular butterfly pastry, which leaves a lasting impression on everyone who tries it.
