SpongeBob Throws a Party!: 5 Must-Try Themed Rides at Hong Kong Ocean Park

SpongeBob and Patrick have moved in, bringing the entire Bikini Bottom to Hong Kong Ocean Park!! From July to August 28, Hong Kong Ocean Park—combining rides, an aquarium, and a zoo—has launched the cool and adorable SpongeBob-themed attraction “SpongeBob Summer Water Party.” With a total of five rides, they’ve recreated a whole new Bikini Bottom.

Super Mega Splash

Enjoy the thrill of a giant bucket slowly filling up with water before it cascades down from above—with the company of Squidward and Patrick. The anticipation of not knowing when the bucket will tip makes it extra exciting. The water pours down like a mini waterfall, offering a super refreshing and cooling experience.

Laser Maze

The Laser Maze is a brand-new attraction newly introduced from the U.S. It feels like stepping into a scene from a Mission: Impossible movie. In the dark room, crisscrossing green lasers fill the space. Only those with quick reflexes can make it through the challenge and score high in the shortest time. This game can be played solo or in pairs—challenge your friends to see who the best secret agent is.

Colorful Fountain Array

As you enter the SpongeBob Summer Water Party, the first thing visitors see is a colorful tunnel. A bit further in is the Colorful Fountain Array, where blue lights shine alongside jets of water. Fancy water sprays dance along with the lights, splashing around and keeping the little ones busy running back and forth, enjoying the delightful surprise of unexpected splashes.

Bubble Mania

What kid doesn’t love playing with bubbles? A large bubble pool is specially set up here. Kids of similar height are grouped together in the same session, and with goggles on, they can jump right into the bubble pool. Kids bury themselves in the bubbles, enjoying the close encounter, and every few minutes, bubble machines on the ceiling release more bubbles, making the pool even bubblier and sending the kids into a frenzy.

▲Not only can friends engage in water battle competitions, but parents and kids can team up too—parents handle the slingshot while kids help place the water balloons.

Water Battle Bonanza

The Water Battle Bonanza is divided into two sides. Each side gets a basket of water balloons to launch using a giant slingshot, attacking each other. Whether it’s parent-child teamwork or friendly group battles, it’s a lot of fun.
