There are often those moments when you think, “Wow, this was worth the money.” It’s not anything extravagant—really not that high-end either, just a little more expensive than usual. But it’s something you use or eat daily, and yet it often gives me that feeling of “it’s worth it.”
The moment you pick up a Wedgwood cup.
I mostly buy regular ceramic mugs, usually from Starbucks, because I find their designs and prices pretty reasonable. Then I bought a Wedgwood bone china mug. On the left is the Wedgwood cup, discounted to 120 RMB, and on the right is the Starbucks one, discounted to over 70 RMB—the price difference isn’t huge.
But the new cup has a very tasteful design, the walls are thinner but not as thin as bone china, and most importantly, the grip feels really unique.

The moment Wuchang rice comes out of the pot.
Using the same rice cooker, the cooked rice is genuinely different. On top is rice from northern Jiangsu, and underneath is Wuchang rice.
When cooking Wuchang rice, the aroma fills the room, and when you open the rice cooker, the steam smells even more fragrant. It makes you want to sneak a bite—it’s sweet and delicious when chewed.

The moment you put on the Adidas Terrex new waterproof jacket.
The Adidas Terrex outdoor product line—many of this brand’s items can be found at great prices on Xianyu.
This waterproof jacket is from Adidas’ Terrex line, and it’s a rather unique one. The fabric isn’t the usual Goretex found in most waterproof jackets, but rather Adidas’ own-developed Climaproof material, which is both waterproof and breathable.
But the feel of this fabric is quite special—it’s somewhere between hard shell and soft shell. It’s stiffer than soft shell but still has some elasticity, making it much more comfortable to wear than a full hard shell.

In terms of design, it’s also not like typical outdoor clothing. Adidas’ waterproof jackets lean more toward fashion, with a cinched waist, stretchy fabric that fits snugly, and thanks to the fabric’s good drape, there are fewer wrinkles, making the jacket look more premium.
It comes with a down inner liner, which is fully sewn in so no feathers leak out. Just add the liner when it’s cold, and take it out during spring and fall.
But that’s not even what impressed me most about the jacket... What really wowed me is that the inner lining of the pockets is made of a different fabric—it feels a bit stiff. It’s super comfortable to grab onto!! Putting both hands in the pockets might seem cool, but actually, your hands keep rubbing around inside!! Scratch scratch scratch!! Scratch scratch scratch!! (Strange focus, I know)

The moment you type on a mechanical keyboard.
After switching through several 60% sized keyboards, I finally upgraded to a 64-key metal-bodied one with arrow keys, doesn’t take up much desk space, full RGB lighting, and I even switched to a keycap set I like. It’s now at my office connected to my work computer.
800 RMB is considered mid-to-high range for a keyboard, but since I use it every day at work, seeing a keyboard I like just feels satisfying.
The red switch is great for everyday use—this one is just about perfect.
(I’ve also tried many 60% keyboards, including the Aluminum Factory F60, Minila, GH60, Logitech Pop Keys, but in the end...)

The moment after sharpening a knife and chopping vegetables.
I’ve bought high-end kitchen knives before. When I first started using them, it was super satisfying—meat would slice open effortlessly, and everything felt like cutting tofu, shaping however I wanted. But over time, even the high-end knives didn’t perform as well. Someone pointed out that sharpening is more important than buying, so I got a knife sharpener.
Now I sharpen it regularly, and then chopping becomes smooth—swish swish swish~
The moment you put on headphones to block out noise.
Once you've used it, there's no going back — I can't live without noise-canceling/insulating headphones anymore. I've bought several and use them every day.
I wear noise-insulating earmuffs in the office and active noise-canceling headphones on the subway. A noisy world becomes quiet.

Thinking about it carefully, it doesn’t seem like I spent that much more money, but those moments are just so satisfying and worth it.
Something I use every single day... better to buy early and enjoy it sooner!
As long as it’s something you use daily, if you calculate based on how often you use it, it’s really just a few cents more per use. Buying early is much more cost-effective!!
