Following the press conference, the 2018 Asia Leisure Outdoor Industry Summit Forum will officially commence. ...

On October 30, the second Daydream Travel Designers' Festival was successfully held on the Norwegian Joy cruise ship. Following last year’s first Independent Travel Designers' Festival in Beijing, we took the second edition to the sea. This is a festival for travel designers themselves, as well as a joyful gathering of cross-border collisions.

Celebrities such as Zhang Xingsheng, Feng Lun, and Lu Yu sent congratulatory video messages for the festival. Cross-sector figures like Ye Bei, Yang Jinlin, Meng Fanjia, and Song Jun also came on-site to explore the meaning of travel with Daydream.

The theme of this Travel Designers' Festival is——Let poetry and distant lands become a slash career, divided into four sharing sessions: 【Nine Years of PALA, Where Dreams Begin】; 【The Gateway to Cross-border Travel】; 【The Ultimate Experience of Inward Journeys】; and 【Daydream Spring/Summer Product Launch】.

Famous current affairs commentator Yang Jinlin, as the opening guest of the festival, said: “What moved me most about Daydream is seeing so many young people designing their own lives, designing their own travel routes, turning dreams into ideals and then into reality. It’s a wonderful beginning, and it brings happiness and hope to this era and this nation.”

Sun Bo, founder of Daydream, also expressed the brand philosophy: “Today we were able to invite so many distinguished guests to support us. They’re not just supporting Daydream, but also the young people of this era. We want to provide meaningful culture and deeper insights for young people, for those who truly pursue travel—not just filters and photo edits. We hope these predecessors, scholars, musicians, and psychologists, the elites in various fields, can lead us to see different worlds.”

Sun Bo also stated: Although Daydream has only been around for three years, the seed was planted long ago. We wanted to do during the day what others only dare to dream about—and make it real.

Nine years is a journey, and also a new beginning. On the ninth anniversary of PALA Custom Travel, we invited old friends of PALA, even the very first client from when we started the business.

We also recalled through dialogue that it was the earliest trip to Africa that led Feng Lun and his wife to compare Sun Bo to an antelope (Impala) running across the grasslands—thus giving birth to China’s first custom travel agency—PALA.

In the 【Gateway to Cross-border Travel】 session, Sun Bo said: Independent travel designers are the core soul of Daydream.

They can be individuals or operate as studios—singers, scholars, writers… As long as they have deep thoughts about travel or profound discoveries about beauty, specialize in their field, they are travel designers. [Cross-border] is the common trait they share.

For example, Ms. Ye Bei traveled to Bhutan with Daydream last Spring Festival. During the trip, she organized a small concert in the forest for over 100 people on-site. Everyone picked up stones nearby, clapping and humming along with her singing. It was the closest many had ever come to music—and it showed the unique charm of designed travel.

Beyond the keyword [cross-border], Daydream has always insisted on the ultimate inward travel experience since its founding.

We believe that exploring the cultural content of travel is more important than mere sightseeing.

We insist on having our own resources in every destination. Sun Bo spent two years building his own ranch by Lake Baikal.

The third Ice Library will also soon be established here.

We also believe that good travel isn’t deliberately designed—it naturally happens after uncovering unique culture.

Like the trip to Uzbekistan, the real historical Khwarezm, those ancient archaeological sites—they weren’t created by us. They truly existed in history and brought genuine advancement to our civilization.

At the end of the festival, Daydream Marketing Director Moody hosted the Daydream Spring/Summer Product Launch and interpreted the design philosophy of Daydream Travel from multiple angles.

As the first product representative of the launch, Zheng Kai, Sales Manager of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., took the stage to announce the new sea routes.

In the future, Daydream Travel will continue to follow the rhythm of the seasons to create more great travel products.

“We’ve always believed that good travel is definitely not just about the destination. There should be more behind it—those people, those who hold the lanterns, who show us places we can’t see on our own. Travel is absolutely not just about food, fun, and games. Of course food matters, and accommodation too, but even more important than those, I believe, is the growth during travel, the love in travel, and the faith in travel.”

“ Good travel must move from the professional realm to the public. It shouldn’t just be a work of art, it should be a product people can experience. It shouldn’t simply be an academic release, it should let people feel immersive experiences during travel. We believe good travel is not just knowledge—it brings wisdom. So I hope we can achieve cross-border integration, not just in travel, but turn every trip into the nth power of our dreams.
