Recently, the selection event "Read Ten Thousand Books, Travel Ten Thousand Miles: Tourists' Favorite Travel Books and Routes" came to a close. The book "Off-Road Across Tibet," written by Chongqing-based travel writer Hong Chen, was among the 100 most beloved travel books awarded.
"Off-Road Across Tibet" is the fruit of the journeys undertaken by Hong Chen and her husband Hu Hong. Over the course of 10 years, Hong Chen and her husband drove the cheapest jeep five times across Tibet and over the Himalayas into Nepal, embarking on spiritual pilgrimages time and again. One of them recorded their experiences in words, the other through the lens, capturing the most authentic, vivid, and romantic polar tales of Tibet. "Off-Road Across Tibet" is published by China Tourism Press.
