For mountaineers around the world, “7+2” represents a height and an achievement.
7+2 refers to the extreme adventure of climbing the highest peaks on all seven continents and trekking to both the North and South Poles. Nine people from Dalian will set off from their hometown to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak there, embarking on Dalian’s 7+2 mountaineering adventure. Last year, the Dalian “7+2” mountaineering team was officially established, with five members reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro that same year. The second group of members is currently in training, having practiced for over three months so far.
The eight members of this expedition were born between 1963 and 1973, most of them business owners or senior executives, including two women. The adventure will last 12 days, from January 25 to February 6, 2012. The entire climbing journey requires a budget of 50,000 yuan. It’s clear that to complete the “7+2” challenge, time, money, physical strength, and courage are all essential.
