Italian Farm in the Suburbs: Be a Happy Farmer, Feed Horses, and Pick Veggies
The Italian Farm was first established in the autumn of 1999 in Shibapu Village, Nanfaxin Town, Shunyi District. In November 2005, due to land requisition for the expansion of the Capital International Airport, the farm was relocated to Baigezhuang Village, Mapo Town, where it was rebuilt. The new site is located in Baigezhuang, Mapo Town, Shunyi District, Beijing. It enjoys convenient transportation, is close to the Beijing-Shunyi Road, and lies 30 kilometers from Sanyuanqiao. The farm covers an area of 210 acres and was the first to introduce the concept of an Italian eco-farm to Beijing.
This place is full of Italian charm—you don’t need to go abroad to experience it, as it’s right here in the rural areas of Shunyi, Beijing. All the buildings on the farm are authentically Italian in style, and the fruit trees and vegetables grown are all imported from Italy. Almost every weekend, two to three hundred people come here for vacation, many of whom are foreigners who feel as though they’ve been transported to Italy.
This is a comprehensive sightseeing farm themed around the architectural style of Tuscany, Italy. All the rooms feature a composite structure with fireplaces, fully embodying the exotic charm of Italy. As the only accommodation in Beijing—and even across the country—with an authentic Italian countryside ambiance, the Italian Farm’s guest rooms are decorated in Italian home styles, all with a duplex layout. A large amount of wood and stone decor is used to recreate the look and feel of the Italian countryside. Each room comes with a fireplace, and spending leisurely time sitting cross-legged around the fire with family, enjoying delicious snacks and the farm’s homemade wine, is truly a delightful experience.
       Highlights for the Spring Festival
From the perspective of an organic ecological planting demonstration garden, the farm has also implemented biological sewage treatment to ensure the cultivation of purely natural, pollution-free organic agricultural products for use in the restaurant; it utilizes a geothermal heat pump system to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures year-round while also contributing positively to curbing the greenhouse effect. The farm has also established ecological waste management, pioneering a complete ecological chain that achieves natural and environmentally friendly goals, providing you with a natural and healthy living environment. The farm also offers purely natural, pollution-free organic agricultural products, including eggs, olive oil, wine, vinegar, various types of Italian pasta, as well as self-produced fruits, vegetables, spices, homemade cookies, appetizers, and fruit wines.
